What creates a home and what does it take to make us feel at home? What does “home” mean for a homeless person and when is a little too much and too much too little? Is it possible to live in a container

by Erik Juul Architects

HomeLessHome is a tiny home in rough frames, which contains basic functions as a kitchen, living - and sleeping area. Although everything is cut to the bone – the home still contains a human surplus and a small courtyard with green plants. HomeLessHome is rough version of a minimalist home that contains all the basic functions, including a kitchen, a living room and a bedroom. Although the design has been cut to the bone here, the home demonstrates a human resourcefulness and offers an aesthetic solution for a pressing problem.

The project was developed by Erik Juul Architects as an architectural experiment to highlight the living conditions of homeless people. The project was co-funded by the Velux Foundation.
