Patterns of Human Interaction
Conferences & Talks | 2 September 2011 | Bella Sky Comwell | Public event
by Nokia

Five billion people have a mobile phone. Today, no single, technological device is more in our hands than the mobile phone – it has become the media through which humans interact. Marko Ahtisaari is the global head of Nokia's design unit, and he is responsible for Nokia’s product and user experience design. He will be sharing Nokia’s thoughts on how design will shape and influence the patterns of human interaction in the future. The event is held in cooperation with Bella Sky Hotel and CODE11. Participants will be able to visit the CODE11 area following the event.

Marko Ahtisaari was born in Helsinki Finland, but raised in Dar es Salaam and New York. He studied philosophy, economics and music at Columbia University, where he also lectured for several years. While at university, Marko Ahtisaari had a parallel professional life as a bassist and composer.

Marko Ahtisaari joined Nokia in 2009 and now serves as Senior Vice President of Design, having overseen recent products such as the upcoming Nokia N9 <http://swipe.nokia.com/>

Prior to Nokia he cofounded Doppr, the social atlas for smart travellers around the world. Nokia acquired Dopplr in 2009. Before then, he helped launch Blyk, the free mobile network for young people.

Registration for this event is necessary, there are a limit of 60 seats.
